Modifying Alimony
My husbands ex-wife is getting alimony for life because they were married for 12 years is there any chance of having that changed by the judge? She was just kicked out of her apt because of domestic abuse between her and her boyfriend, so now she lives with her friends and the two kids. She doesn't pay rent and wastes all the money on drinking and shopping. Her profession is a cross walk guard and she only works part time, is there any chance they can make her get a 40 hour job so the alimony won't be as steep? HELP!

All you can do is try filing for a modification. Judges base amount on guidelines such as length of marriage, lifestyle etc.
