Separation Agreement Responsibilities
My wife wants to complete a separation agreement. We live in Maryland. She wants Spousal Support during the separation. Is this something that is required/enforceable in MD.? And is there a formula that must be followed. We have 3 children who will be staying with me the majority of the time, while we will have joint custody. Therefore, I do not believe there is a child support issue. I think the places she's looking to move to are ridiculously priced, and I don't want to have to support the payments she's going to have to make.

Generally speaking spousal support during separation is allowed. As for the calcualation as to how much she is entitled to you would need to speak to an attorney. There are guidelines that must be followed and the attorney would need to know length of marriage, how much each spouse makes etc.
