I have a dog who is now 3 yrs ( he was 3 mos when I got him) and was diagnosed last year with a congenital heart defect. The breeder is being a pain to deal with. He never returns my e-mails or answers my questions regarding his 5 year health guarantee and how I will be reembursed for this "sick" dog who is now on 4 medications for the rest of his life. I'm sure he is told old to fall under the lemon law, but was wondering if there is anything I can do to motivate this breeder to get things done.

If a pet store sells you a puppy that is sick and you are thinking about taking them to Small claims for out of pocket medical expenses, since the two vets they told us to go to did absolutely nothing for the puppy... BUT... at the time we purchased the puppy their business license had expired...
Since their business license expired - do they still have legal rights to sell a puppy, a puppy that was really sick - and does their contract become void since their business license expired? |
