Question My father....PLEASE HELP!

Hi. My name is Shawna and I was wondering if there was a way to appeal my fathers conviction.

My father was convicted of child molestation in 2002 ( me being the victim ) as a family, I have forgiven my father for what he has done. He's the only father I have ever known and I still love him very much.

Anyways, he was convicted in 2002 and is serving an 8 year term. He is scheduled for release in I believe 2008 or 2009. He is having a lot of trouble with his heart and has had a few heart attacks since November of 2005. The prison where he is at has done nothing to get him in for his much needed heart surgery. They keep telling him, you're on the list. But 5 months of waiting?! Come on! Anyways, He is 72 years old and his health is just going downhill. I am currently pregnant with his 15th grandchild. ( the 1st from me. and its his most important b/c I am his youngest child.) He fears and I fear that he will not be around much longer.

Anyways....is there a way to maybe get him out of jail sooner? I mean that way he'll be able to have his heart surgery and be able to at least see his grandchild. Please help me.

Default help?

In my opinion, both you & your father need help; but i dont think it's the help you're looking for, although very obvious to anyone who read your post. THERAPY. Your father is nowhere near serving the term he should for his actions; & I fully believe that his heart problems are directly related to his concious, in the realization of how much damage he has done. You, on the other hand, are in desperate need of therapy; being a child yourself, & now trying to raise a child, have no idea of the ramifications of his actions & how they past/present/future negatively affect you for the rest of your life, let alone your child's. It is a very well known fact that abuse is passed through generations, until it is stopped & all parties seek theraputic help. Your father needs to suffer the 'lite' consequences he was given; & you need to take a serious & deep look at yourself... for your child's sake.
