You only wrote a few sentences, but frankly, they do not make sense.

You were traveling through KY and the police just walked up and searched your car and took your things. Of course not. What was the probable cause they had to stop you? Even if they stopped you for speeding, or a moving violation, they still would not have had probable cause to SEARCH your bags. There is more to the story than that---and it very well may be why you havent gotten your things back yet. You did NOT get charged with"having OTC Meds in with your Rx". No such crime.

Also, it doesn't make sense to say that you had OTC medicine in with your Rx's but it was proven in court "everything was mine". How do they prove that an OTC medicine was yours? More importantly, why would they try to? The answer is, they don't care about the OTC medicine. They wanted to prove that the Rx medication was yours. And they probably wanted to identify what the other pills were (OTC). Having OTC in with Rx is not illegal. I do it all the time. I carry Tylenol in with my Rx---that isn't the problem.

If there are OTHER charges pending, and/or if anyone else in the vehicle was charged, that may be the reason the meds have not been returned. If you can provide more information, I can be more precise. In the meanwhile, perhaps your doctor can prescrible more Rx for you if you tell him the story.
