I have to go out of state to get my ailing/disabled mother to bring her back to Alaska. I am concerned that there may be something in the computer that will cause a problem at the Anchorage or Seattle airports. Does anyone know how this works? I certainly do not want to make this problem any bigger! I don't know if asking my attorney will draw attention to the issue and ensure that I am unable to board the plane. Please help!!!!!

Your posting reads "criminal charges PENDING"---then you say you have already BEEN charged. So you obviously know the charge--shop lifting. You don't have charges pending--you have a trial pending and you are out on bail. How am I doing?
In any regard, the head in the sand approach is NEVER best. Never. Calling YOUR attorney isn't going to harm you--you think HE is going to call the airlines and TELL them? HIS job is to protect YOUR interest. A quick call to him ( or her ) should tell you exactly what you can and cannot do. If you believe your attorney would keep you from boarding the plane ( he certainly isn't going to call them and ASK and give them your name) then you need another attorney. You say the PD won't let you plead out---that probably isn't his call. Why did he tell you not to plead, or weren't you offered a plea deal? Is this a repeated offense?
Unless you can clearly articulate the charges levied against you, and the status of the same, thats the clearest answer you can get.
