Default this cant be Probation Violation...

Im in St. Louis Missouri, county

I was put on house arrest because i tested positive for marijuana twice. (But no longer use ) Since i tested positive twice i was put on house arrest while i was on house arrest i would move my ankle bracelet up on my leg so it wouldn't be down by my ankle, because it gave me better comfort there. My Po says she gets a tampered message sometimes i do it. But when i had to get the bracelet replaced the hook up gentlemen says there wasn't anything wrong with it, no pins tampered with, bracelet seemed ok.. and he even offered me an idea of placing a sock between the bracelet and when i did that i didn't like that so which i removed the sock and pulled it back up and i got another message. So it happened again now she took me off of house arrest today and told me i have to explain to the judge what I'M doing.

i dont have a court date scheduled am im wondering do i need a lawyer for this..i had a lawyer for the case who helped me get probation, but i dont want to get him involed because i dont want my family to know about the house arrest

i mean all i was doing was pulling the bracelet up towards my leg so it wouldnt be around my ankle..i didnt tamper with any thing the hook up guy said maybe im stretching it to far but it doesnt even happen all the time...

Sounds like it would be smart to hire an attorney to represent you at an upcoming hearing. I only say this because it sounds as if you are unfamiliar with the procedures that will likely take place.

P.S. If PO keeps getting a tamper message when you move the bracelet I would suggest that you stop relocating it. You hate to get yourself into more trouble than the situation that you are currently in. Remember that the PO might not even believe your story. I am sure that PO has heard your story many times before from other individuals that have the ankle bracelet.
