Speeding Ticket

I was said to be speeding at 83mph in a 65mph highway zone. I was in the passing lane with a car in front of me and a car to my side. The officer when i went to the magistrate said I was on lidar so they know thats what I was doing. The cop reduced the ticket to 75mph in a 65mph the minimum he could. The problem is I was 17 when I received the ticket and in massachusetts you can loose your license. I am 18 now but believe because I was 17 when it happened I could still face that repercussion and because I do not believe I was speeding I do not want this to happen. What can i do? My next court date is with the judge and I dont want my only hope being the officer might not show up.

If you think you were speeding or not is really immaterial. Ninety percent of the people who get tickets think they weren't speeding (cough cough).

If you are under 18 and on a restricted, junior operators driver's license, any speeding ticket results in a 90 day license suspension, fees, education classes, and a $500 license reinstatement charge after your suspension period ends. Not sure how you're going to get out of that.

I was under 18 when I got the ticket but I am no longer so i didnt know if that would help me at all. I understand what happens and the main reason I am fighting the ticket is to avoid that. But i also know I cant ask the judge to just let me pay the ticket and do some community service so i don't have to loose my license. When the magistrate said i was guilty she never mentioned the repercussions so I dont know if I would still loose my license and thats what im trying to find out.

If the case has already been heard by a judge, you should already know all there is to know about the penalty and repercussions. You don't have a date to go back for any reason, do you? You said your next "court date" was with a judge---then you said a magistrate already heard the caes. A magistrate IS a judge. Please clarify.
