Question Husband has hold for US Marshals

My husband is currently in jail for charges: poss of a controlled sub, 4 burglary of a bldg, 4 tampering w/Govt Doc (fake ID) theft of a firearm and UPF. He was indicted on all except the theft of a firearm. These charges have been pending for months (he is awaiting trial). Well, today I was looking at his charges on line and a new one was added that said HF US Marshal, the charge line said Writ and there was a warrant #. There is a friend of his in there on unrelated charges that has that same hold on his file but his says Writ of Habeus Corpus instead of just writ but the warrant #'s are the same. Just wanting any info on why this hold would be added and what a writ is and why would the warrant #'s be the same for 2 separate cases.
