Theft by conversion

I entered into a contract with one of those sub lease comapnies to sell my truck. We signed a contract on may 24th and they agreed to cure back payments and continue to make payments through finding a user who would lease to own the vehicle. In six months they would refinance the loan.
Of course they have made no payments on the truck.
Suprisingly they have not disapeared either. They have made two payment arrangements with my bank directly which they have not followed through on.
I called local attorneys who refuse to take the case and have told me to contact the State Attorney General's office. I did, and their response was to tell me to call a lawyer.
The police won't consider it stolen becuase there is a contract involved and no one but the BBB seems to be willing to help.
I am a single parent, a college student working on my last year of college and a laid off for the summer teacher's aid for special education. I do not have $1200 to hire a repo company.
Please help!!
I have gotten a few reads on this post but no reply so I am going to try and refine what I am looking for. How do I charge someone with theft by conversion?
