New Laws For Mentally Ill Criminals?

Because the Judge hadn't looked at his mental records until my sons attorney subpoenaed them into court, right before sentencing. My sons attorney didn't even know my son had a mental problem until I wrote his attorney a letter. I had tried & tried to contact his attorney by phone many times to no avail. Once I sent the letter, of course then his attorney contacted me. I guess the judge had to have evidence, as everyone else needed, to know for sure he had a mental disability before sentencing. My sons attorney, the prosecuting attorney & the judge agreed to a plea bargain.

I understand----but the most important thing is if your SON agreed to a plea. It doesn't matter of the other three did.
