i was convicted in federal court in 1953 for dyer act [car theft] right now i am 73 years of age. my question is can my wife own guns in our home? i hear a lot of yes and no's on this.any info is grateful. also can a federal judge restore my gun disabilities? at the present i am applying for a presidential pardon, but i hear that takes about 18 months. gee whiz. i didnt kill no one. ty kindly. i am in the state of va. its not the state ,its the federal that says i cant buy or own or possess. state of va. has restored all my rights including right to own , buy, sell etc. but federal laws over rule the state. my wife is not a felon, so does she not have any rights? i need a straight answer from some one please. ty as far as possession or access goes, i see guns every where ever day, pawn shops. gun shops. will they take away their rights because i can see their guns also? that is, i can be close to them, so does that makes it ok for them to have guns in my presence? tit for tat i think. ty.
