search laws

can any1 tell me what can be done on this case..
my friend was arrested at a house when walking out of it as it was being watched for trafficing...
i called police dept and asked them were he was arrested at and they wouldnt tell me i asked if he was driving they said no ..there was no cars involved so they couldnt tell me that he was driving some one elses car and were it was. because he was arrested on foo.. if he had a car with him they said he would have to tell me if he calls because they have no idea of that presince....
well 3 days later the night before his first court hearing at 1030pm cops show up at his brothers house and say they needed to search his brothers car ...no questions asked they let them search the car the police said was his car..but that car has never been in his name nor was any part of his arrest... AND THE CAR IS IN MY NAME AND IS MY CAR AND I WAS NOT PRESENT FOR THIS ILLEGAL SEARCH OF MY CAR that they say was his brothers that was arrested..even know they got nothing out of it
can i sue for this or is there something that i can do
