Parts sold without permission or agreement
Hey there!
I have a problem, of which i need an advice. I am from Denmark, and I am really in the need of help here. Quite a while back I found a guy whom agreed to help me regarding an new engine block and other parts for my car. He agreed to also receive any other smaller parts that I wanted to get to Denmark and included on the pallet on which the engine block was shipped. All parts were shipped to him from several different vendors, but parts, all new, were paid by me (have all receipts). I received a bill from him which represented his labor, machine work and parts for pallet (fair enough), parts that he has ordered wrong, wrong amount on engine block, services that had already been paid for and money that he had already gotten. Due to no responds from him regarding the faulty things, I did not want to pay such bill, and suddenly he responds that parts are sold, project abandoned and no more. What to do??? There are parts for app. 14.000$, which is a lot of money for me. If possible, please respond to my email: gt390dk@gmail.com Regards, Jan |

I appreciate your dilema but as far as I know, there are no lawyers here from Denmark. What steps you would take here in America are, most likely, completely different than ones you would take there.
Contact a LOCAL attorney. |

Hey, and thanks for your reply. I think you misread my question or i did not state it clearly. But as the guy is an american, parts are bought in the US and parts are still in the US, so i need advice according to US law, i am quite sure
Thanks, Jan |

You did not say that the other party is in America.
Also, the state in which he resides may make a difference. The amount you lost is more than most small claims amounts, so you are going to have to contact an attorney in HIS state and jurisdiction and have him issue suit against the guy. Also have him ask about criminal charges (conversion, fraud, perhaps?) Its going to be difficult from that distance. Good luck. |
