some advic received threatening letters

im not sure if any of you will remember my previous threads about my neighbour, but bit of history is she used to write letters put them through my door making all kinds of claims bout my kids making noise, there bedroom ajoins onto her flat. Well she has recently started it again, last week she cornered me by my bins outside and told me she was here too "throttle my kids for the noise" and then the letters started again,i felt that intimidated and she'd given me that much of a complex bout my kids playing that i went to stay at my mums for a night, only to come back to a letter from her claiming my kids had been banging on her wall all day,we werent even in! to try cut a long story short today i got a letter from her which is 6 a4 pages long ******** me off for being a bad parent, she says her son is going to be coming over to "knock my face in" she acuses me of not feeding my cat and going to phone RSPCA a quote from the letter is "im a very good friend but im a very bad enemy ok!so its your choice friend or enemy, sort your kids out or i will find everything i can on you" and "control your son now or i will make your life a misery" im not saying my kis are innocent yes they can thump about there bedroom when they're playing eg running round chasing each othr so causing banging on floor but they're aged 3 and 6 and its holidays here its normal for young kids. my main question is though i have police coming round tomorrow, does anyone know if these are seen as threats enough to get her charged?1 and if yes what would i say i want her charged with?! i would just like to add ive not provoked her or replied to any ofher letters, all help greatfully received!

I hope you have kept a log of incidents like this, dates, times, etc.

File a police report for harassment and ask about getting a restraining order against her (although this may be difficult since she lives in such close proximity) At the very least, a no contact order, or trespassing notice. You also may be able to sign a warrant for her arrest if you wish to do so.

If you are renting, I hope you have made your landlord aware of the problem.

Good luck.
