juvenile

my 16yr old son is being charged with stealing a gun from a residence he was invitd into...so probable charges are theft and burglary...as a juvenile with priors(assault theft tresspassing and criminal damaging) is he looking at time in a detention center and if so how much time?

This isnt a question anyone here can answer. My guess would be juvenile detention is a given at this point, BUT I do not have a crystal ball. I would seek legal counsel immediately. This young man is on a crash course for certain tragedy.
