Drug charges

My best buddie got arrested for having money and beeing down the street from a kid that had drugs . The cops said they were his and the kid swore under oath at his trial they wernt. Now my boy left rhe country cause he was facing Jail and deportation cause he was a perminent resident and not citizen. Im trying to get him back here and he is willing to do the time just not deportation. What do i do from here what papers can i get and maybe give to a legal aid on his behalf to see if this is doable?

You don't get arrested for being on the same street as a drug dealer and having money. That isn't how it works--and if that is an accurate reflection of what happened, why in the world would he be willing to go to jail????

Your "boy", if he comes back, will face time and deportation. Even if he is found not guilty, he is still here legally. Coming here illegally and being in a compromising position that resulted in these charges kinda ruined any future chance at being here legally and remaining here.

He isn't a victim. He made bad choices which have resulted in this most unfortunate scenario. His legal options, at this point, are limited unless he has an excellent source of unlimited funds.
