Default help in mi

my boyfriend and i got into a fight and the police were called. i went to jail. even though it was mutal combat. there are other times that the police were called and they left we were on a cooling off period and times where i called and hung up because i did not want anyone to go to jail.anyways im on probation for a dui but havent heard anything about being violated because we were drinking [one of the conditions of probation]. and i have a no contact order agaisnt me and want to get my stuff out he told the police to give him a couple of days to get stuff ready it has been 4. my son does not have any clothes. how do i get my stuff? and we just bought a car and both of our names are on it and he has posession of it. the police told me that if i saw my car on the side of the road that i couldnt take it. he could report it stolen that i have no leagal right to my car. or any of my stuff this incluceds my checks that are comming there i also had my refund checks put into his bank account along with my paychecks and any other money i had got i dont know what to do have alot of things going on.he has been abusuve to me as well as i to him. like i said it was mutal combat i just want out and to get my things and move on thanks in advanced
the questions are what can i do? and what will happen?

Sounds like you will need either an attorney or a police escort to get some of your things back. For things that you are unable to retrieve because they have been distroyed, given away and/or spent you can always sue him for the money value.
