Exclamation digital scale possession

Last friday my long time high school friend was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics. At the time, my digital scale (which I honestly use for legal purposes) was in his car (I left it there by accident and did not know it was there until I got a call from my friend in jail.) If I claim this scale as being mine, can I get in trouble for having it even if it's used to weigh food portions? My mom has a digital scale in her kitches right now, how can I be in trouble for having a scale if she can't? I was not present at the time of the arrest and had NO knowledge of his dealings or that he was even using my scale at the time....please help!!?!?!?

Default not quite sure

I'm not positive, but i think ur best bet is to just go out and buy a new scale. granted u may not use it for narcotics, but if he has there will still b traces and there is no proof that that is not what u use it for. I wouldn't bother trying to retrieve it...just buy a new one. or use your moms in the meantime

Cool

I agree with lazyangel. You may not have done anything wrong, but there are plenty of innocent people who have had their lives ruined by our justice system where prosecutors prosecute often on the basis of what they can prove or leverage to their own advantage instead of what's right and wrong.

Stay away from that mess!
