I Need Help

Last year I was charged with attempted child endangerment. My husband, at the time was going through a divorce and a guardian ad litem was appointed. She appeared at my court date and asked the judge to give me the maxium sentence and said i was danger to all kids. Mind you I have two of my own and have no priors. This lady never talked to me about the incident before she appeared in court on my court date. My name was slung all through the papers. With all types of accussations. My husband at the time agreed to me being supervised around his kids since we were going to be living with his parents. Now we have moved out. We want me to be unsupervised. Do I need my own attorney present at the court date for the matter to go before a judge?

I am going to assume that you did not have an attorney during the first proceeding that you talk about. Knowing what happened without an attorney I would suggest that you hire one to modify the custody issue.

Yeah, it's better if you hire an attorney to help you regarding the custody issue. I'm sure you will be glad you did!
