Default what should I do?

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I am on felony probation (unsupervised) for 4 years, I have completed 2 years and was ready for early termination, when I was stopped for having an expired tag for which I was cited along with not having insurance and driving with a suspended license (which I did not know). I have an arraignment on Feb. 1, 2006, I was told that since I have renewed my tag, got insurance and reinstated my license they will fine me, but most likely I would have to plead nolo contendere to the traffic criminal charge. I dont (technically) have a PO because I am on unsuperved probation. Is the best thing to do is notify a PO, would they violate me if so what is the possibility of just getting a warning or continuing probation, in other words what are my chances of not going to jail for the original charge? Any advise/info would be helpful. Thanks

My guess is that the criminal system is going to find out about your infraction one way or the other. They might go lighter on you if you tell them but of course no guarantees. You might want to consult with legal aide and you will definately want to consult with an attorney who deals with this type of situation to get a better understanding of what may happen to you.
