I would appreciate advice for a 22 yr old who will be being released with a strike on his record.

Released from what? prison, jail, probation?

Released from what for doing what? (what is a strike?) drunk driving? Murder?

But, just a few general suggestions:

1. JOB
2. Don't do whatever it was that got you in trouble in the first place again.

The 22 yr old was arrested for first degree burglary. He says he has not signed anything yet. How can he get the felony down to a misdeameanor. He needs some way to get the ADA to reduce the charge. He says the deal they are offering will still include the felony and the strike.

What do you mean by RELEASED? If he is IN jail, I presume he already HAS been convicted---OR do you mean he was arrested, charged and is being released on bail?

He needs to consult with an attorney or the public defender.

How does he have a 'strike' on his record if he wasn't convicted?
