Convicted Felon possession of firearm in IL
Hello,
I am needing some help with the law statutes in regards to convicted felons that could be in the possession of a firearm in the state of IL. What is actually considered "possession"? Is it "on" the actual person or could it also be if it is in the home of the convicted felon? Also, does it matter if the weapon that is in the home is not registered to the convicted felon but to his spouse? And if so, is that something that is asked or checked for when the spouse applies for the FOID card?? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! I have not been able to locate anything so far online!! Thank you again in advance!!!
