several felonies
We live in Texas.
My stepchildren (15 & 17) have moved in with their dad and me since their mom was sent to SJ for poss of meth (1 yr. SJ Felony). The mother is also up for revocation of probation (2 yr SJ Felony) for another charge of theft 1500 > 20000 in another county. While on probation she took the kids to a motel where they were smoking pot and the cops came in and busted her for marijuana and child endangerment/abandonment in still another county.
The mother is in SJ for one year for the meth charge. She hasn't been sentenced for the theft revocation and hasn't been to court for the last charges.
Will the court run the second charge concurrent since she's already incarcerated for the first? The court did that with her probation.
Any idea how many years this woman is facing?
The children are pretty unhappy here. We are strict compared to the life they lived with their mom. They are convinced their mom will be out soon and are just biding their time until she gets out. The 17 year old will be able to leave when she turns 18, but the 15 year old needs to understand he is going to be here for awhile. I'd like for his dad to be able to give him a heads up on how long his mom will be gone.
