Good Morning,
I was wondering what a consumer can do to change the terms and conditions with a credit card company. Is it legal to change the terms and conditions to terms you want or is the consumer at the mercy of the credit card companys? Is it legal to send a paper to the credit card company's stating new terms and conditions that will take affect if they process the payment. Was just wondering. ![]() |

Quote:
No, you agreed to terms and conditions when you got the card. What gave you the idea you could change them? If that were possible, everyone with a credit card would be changing the terms ( no interest, no payments due for 11 years, etc). However, you are free to shop around for credit card company that better suits your needs---then contact them and tell them about the better offer. If, after reviewing your credit and other relevant information, they feel like they could offer you something competitive, that is their choice. But, no, you cannot INFORM them of the new terms you made up. |
