Should I accept what he said, focus on paying off the debt and try my luck with another collection agency to see if they will send a UDA for debt once i pay or settle?
Please give me any input. I already did a search and still need some help.
Or if anyone can offer verbiage or strategy for pay for deletes would also help.

Collection agencies, as a rule, aren't in any hurry to 'clean up' your credit report. Yes, I believe you should concentrate on paying off the debt. You can then request to be sent a deletion notification in writing, however it's not likely you will get one. You might try contacting the original creditor first, to see if they will recall the collection and allow it to be deleted. Any response must be in writing, not verbal. If not, at least you'll get evidence the collection is paid in full and personally, I wouldn't depend on the agency updating in a timely manner. You're better off contacting the three major repositories once you have evidence it's paid in full; all three will take at least 30 days to confirm with the collection agency and possibly yet another 30 days to update their 'tape' information. I see no reason to pay anyone to accomplish what you can do yourself. You, alone, would be able to negotiate having the adverse item deleted (if they even agree to) and I see no reason to pay any one else.
Hopefully this helps a bit. Good luck.
