Default Motion Hearing

I rec'd a postcard stating a motion hearing is scheduled for 11/5/08.
I rec'd an Information Subpeona and Written Questionnaire dated 6/25/08 which I did nothing with. It should have been returned to 14 days after 6/25/08. What do I do. I cannot afford a lawyer. Thank you.

You should make a copy of the questionnaire and fill out the copy. Take the copy to a lawyer for a quick look... hopefully a free look.

Turn it in as soon as you can but at least a week before the motion hearing which will probably be a motion to find you in contempt or to demand that you return the questionnaire.

Since you have not shared what the complaint is about, we cannot advise you on anything else.

Unfortunatley, most attorneys will not review your document for free.

Although a lot of courthouses have free legal aid (sometimes the wait is long..but worth it since its free) that can assist you in what appropriate paperwork to file etc. I would def. check into this.
