Default Sued by Wells Fargo based on a forged application

Hello All;
I felt the need to share my story. I was a part of a corporation, that went out of business a few years ago. This year, one month to the date of my mother's untimely death I was served with a summons. In the summons there was a loan application with a signature that was clearly not mine. I immediately contacted Wells Fargo, to tell them I never completed the application, nor signed this. The attorney Anne Schauerman, spoke to me with great sarcasm in her voice, and stated she would send the forms necessary for me to complete. I filled them out, filed a police report and submitted everything to her. Of course when we spoke , she said you failed to list the person who did forge your name. Of course how the heck would I know that? I looked at the application, it was taken at a branch 30 miles away from me, which is the first red flag since a Wells Fargo was right next door to the business in question. I followed all of the steps recommened by the police officer regarding identity theft. I filed all of the reports, with the federal agencies and got a credit freeze with all of the bureau's.

The attorney still refused to believe that I did not sign the application. I hired a forensic handwriting expert, who's findings were conclusive on 22 points that it was not my signature. And still this attorney says she will be hiring her own handwriting expert. She has forced my attorney to go to court and participate in case management, and has mediation scheduled at the end of the year. All with this knowledge. She deposed the corporations president as uninterested party and I am scheduled for depositon on 11/07/07. I should also tell you that all of this is for a LOC and a credit card , with balances of less than 30k. If anyone told me that Wells Fargo would keep me on the hook after all of this effort on my part I would not have believed it. They are ruthless sharks to drag me through the ringer when we both know the outcome. I am sure they have ways to verify, that I never set a foot in the bank in question,nor met with the loan officer who took the application. This is so maddening, as I am mourining the loss of my beloved mother, who has been gone less than five months. When I told the lawyer this,she simply said I am not the bad guy, we just want our money. I used to bank with them many years ago and thankfully I no longer have any mortgages there any more. Be wary of the big banks they are not humans, just collection machines. I have stories I could tell about BofA ******* money out of my account for the corporate debt without notifying me. Had to the Comptroller of Currency involved to get some of my money back. California Bank & Trust took me to court for an SBA guaranteed loan, got a lien on my home and 45k later I won by jury trial. I tell you all of this to say just because it is a corporation, and in my case I am not a the president or majority shareholder they will come after you with both barrells cocked if you have any form of attachable assetts. I just want to point out that the president and the majority shareholder has never been party to any of my woes.
