Phone calls during extended vacation

My question involves a child custody case from the State of California. I am the custodial parent and will have my two week extended summer vacation with my two children. We will be camping and phone service will be slim to none. Our order states that during a normal week, the non custodial parent has phone calls every Tuesday and Thursday. I have been told by others that my vacation time should be undivided with no calls unless the children request it. If they request it, I will definantly do my best to find service. My question is, do the Tuesday and Thursday call become mandatory during my vacation or is it to be undivided.

Phone Calls

As a custodial parent, you have the right to set the types of restrictions to allow when the non-custodial parent can contact the children. Common occurrence happen for custodial parents to interfere with the non-custodial parent's phone contact with the child. Even if it does these kinds of issues occasionally find their way into court, oftentimes to little or no effect because they are not considered to be that high of an issue. Judges dislike dealing with these kinds of low-level disputes, and many consider it a waste of their time. In short, it usually is not worth the cost in time and money to engage in formal litigation over telephone contact issues.

For the betterment of the family, it is best to have your kids have the moment to speak with their other parent even if its for a short time.

In any case, if you have other questions regarding custody or family related issue, its best to contact a experienced family law attorney
