17 year son was taken from home about 1 and 1.2 ago due to false allegations made by him of phyiscal abuse. He was removed due to DSS involvement. Police were called, no evidence to date was ever proven, hosital records cleared and we were never charged. Since being in placement, he has been in and out of trouble, some cause by him and some by others. Negligence should be charged as against the Placement centers. Nevertheless, he now wants to come home. Just need some pointers if you will to justify why he should be allowed to come home. He will be 18 in October. Help ASAP Thanks I am in SC

What you are asking would mean someone here on a message board has to make a determination as to 1. the legitimacy of the original allegations, and 2. determine that he would, in fact, be better off with you in your home.
Neither of these things are issues anyone here can speak to. My feeling is ( being in South Carolina as well ) is that they well may err on the side of caution and simply keep him until he is 18 (thereby protecting themselves from liability should he be returned home and be harmed). October is just six weeks away.
Wish I could tell you more.
Do you have an attorney?
