You can search the business listings in your area for low cost or free legal help if you meet certain guidelines. Also, you could ask at the courthouse for forms to file, but the chances of you filling them out properly, and having them notarized, etc. is slim. Unfortunately, some things you just need good legal counsel to accomplish. Of course no one wants to help without requesting money--law school is expensive--ask me how I know.

Go to the court house---while they cannot give you advice or referrals, they may tell you which forms to fill out, but I sincerely doubt it.

Is there a custody order in place already? Have you been to court and your ex whatever has custody? If so, you may petition the court for a change. But, you don't give any specifics, so that is as accurate as your answer can be.
