Question He wants to sign his rights over, what do I do?

Let me start by saying hello to everyone.

Well I have recently found out that the father of my childern wants to sign over his right to my almost 3 year old twin boys. He has informed me that because he is having to pay me money he isn't able to support his family. Well I am ok that he does this because the boys don't really know him anyway. But the problem is that we have our court ordered child support in texas but i have recently moved to oklahoma, and he still lives in texas. My questions is though what do i do how would i go about doing all of this? And can i sign off on all of the back child support, like saying that he doesn't have to pay the 2500.00 that he is behind? I really don't need his money anyway I am married now and my husband is they boys "Daddy" they don't even know him. Any advice???

~thanks all~

Aside from the psychological counseling your ex should go through to make certain this is something he wants to do, the rest should be routine. Contact an attorney and have the paperwork drawn up. Your ex will have to appear in court and will be questioned extensively regarding his wishes, so the court can determine he is making the decision without coersion, etc.
My feeling is he would still owe the back child support and any child support due up until the time the order is amended. The fact that you are remarried with a man who the children ( so young helps) consider Daddy will help establish your stability and will assist in this process.

Best wishes.
