Unhappy I cannot afford current child support

I lost my job and was unemployed for several months. I have been actively looking but cannot find a job that pays nearly as much as my last. I just found a job making 50% less than I was previously. If I continue to pay child support at level it is at now I will not be able to pay my rent. Help.

Child Support Modification

In most states the court will allow you to file a modification of child support assuming that there has been a change of circumstances. A 50% loss of income will probably fit the courts criteria. Check with your court to find out what needs to be filed.
