What am I to do

Ive been engaged to this man for 2 yrs. I worked and he couldnt because of his medical condition. We decided we wanted to start our own business so I gave this man 19,000 cash to start the rehab of houses. We went to all these different agencies to put in bids for damaged houses to fix them up to sell. When that wasnt going as well as it should have gone, he talked about us moving to louisiana to start the projects there because of all the damages that was done from the hurricanes. He came down before I did and when I got here I deposited 3,000. more in the acct. Now I find out after going through all paper work that this man did not add my name on anything. We live together and I dont get any of the money made off these jobs that we are doing and the money is easing its way out of the accts. with no record to show where some it is going. Now he is saying I didnt give him anything to start this business. when that was all the money i had left. All I have is the word of the people he told and the ones that knows I gave it. He is threatening to close the business down If I pursue this any futher. What can I do since I dont have anything on paper?
