Question board minutes

Hello,

My two friends and I just started a Corporation (subchapter S.) One of them suggested that we should have board minutes only once a year. The reality is that we've been meeting once a week. Although I don't think we should have board minutes for the weekly meetings, is it legal for us to have minutes only once per year?

Yes, In Illinois one is the general minimum. But if any company decisions are made in those weekly meetings, it would be wise to document them.
