Running afoul of the law means BREAKING the law. Perhaps you could read over this thread where you explained about your driving mishaps for which you were ticketed.
Parking Lot Mishap Allow me to educate you. A traffic citation is a CRIMINAL offense. If you have received one, you have been in court (aka run afoul of that particular law). So, as you can see, it is entirely truthful to say your experience with the law has been those times you have broken it. What is a lie about that?
Interesting talk about lies-----this from a woman who makes UP what classes she thinks I have taken, lies and states that criminal law degree is "working with criminals"---when the truth is I have never once even taken a class in prisons, parole, probation, etc. Look up Criminal Law and see if you see a core class there that has a single thing to do with prisons. Its laughable really........ but that doesn't stop you from perpetuating it as truth. How silly you are.
I proved what I was saying was true. A traffic citation is violating a law (criminal law) which puts you IN court against a judge. I never said you were a murderer or rapist. I said you were in court only for those times you ran afoul of the law (broke the law) What I said was clearly true----perhaps my usage of the word "afoul" was too difficult for you. Hopefully, now it is more clear.
