I'm in Texas... Massachusetts suing me for ebay sale
Massachusetts is suing me for a stun gun that was said to be sold by me on ebay. Ebay always stopped auctions that were not legal. Stun Guns are legal in Texas where I'm from. I had a copy of my legal disclaimer on the ebay page as follows.
It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the seller, to ascertain, and obey, all applicable local, state, federal and International laws in regard to the possession, and use, of any item purchased from We Care Company. All equipment is sold subject to our local, state or federal ordinances. Consult your local and state laws before ordering if you are in doubt. Absolutely no sales to minors. By placing an order, the buyer represents that the products ordered will be used in a lawful manner and that the he/she is of legal age. We Care Company will not be held liable for the misuse of any product purchased from us or any of our distributors & dealers.
I had a stroke and lost my business. I don't have the money to pay for the penalties that they request. I don't own property. I lease my car. What can they do in a judgement besides seize your home or car. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Ray
