Bank disclosing financial information to a 3rd Part
In this last week a bank in Great Falls, MT disclosed financial information about my husbands mortgage to our tenant and told her that we had not made a payment since March 2005 which was untrue and devulged the financial information with out any written or verbal consent from my husband. Please help what can we do about this?

Disclosure of Private Information
Many, if not all states have privacy laws regarding your exact situation. The following is a link regarding pending legislation (from back in 2000) for many states. http://www.ncsl.org/programs/lis/pri...nd-finpriv.htm
First, obtain a copy of your bank's privacy policy. All banks have them. Then you will either want to research the laws of Montana yourself or consult an attorney who can advise you of these laws. You attorney will probably start with writing a letter to the bank and will try and determine the damages this disclosure has caused you. I hope this information helps.
