Hello to everyone that reads this. Well... I am a club promoter and last Saturday 1/21/06 I got screwed over by club27 in Philly really bad. The only way that I can make money is to charge for admission at the door. As the night came close to an end...I finally found out from a loyal customer that Club27 was stealing all of my customers of whom i invited to attend the club for that night. All of the bouncers that worked the front door were in on it. They tossed all of the "under 21" category to my side and escorted everybody else to their side. Talk about cut throat. Well how I see it is that i can get my rent money back in court because the contract was between me and Susan Callueng the club owner, but she wasn't there to sign it so one of her co-workers did with his signature on top of where her typed out name is located... Does this void the contract because the binding agreement was between me and Susan not him... and is there a good chance that i can get my money back...if so how would i go about doing it....Thank you so much for responding.....

I would not rely on that. If this individual is authorized by Ms. C. to sign on her behalf then you are stuck. If this went to court and Ms. C. said that this co-worker was authorized to sign on her behalf then what will your response be.
How about suing for breach of contract. This sounds like a better argument. The judge can even order you out of the contract. |
