That would depend on the terms of your employment contract/non compete clause, if you have one, and at the very least, company policy. That should have been provided you at the time of hire; current policy should also be readily available as well. I'd also be careful to investigate that the test results belong to the contract company exclusively (not very likely.) Heads up: even if there's nothing in writing, there's a very good chance your company could conceivably lose their current contract if it's discovered one of their current employees is either profiting from those test results or possibly damaging other company reputations by releasing the results as well. In the end, you could face litigation from more than one place. (An opinion, and not to be construed as legal advice.) How much are you willing to risk?

The decision, of course, is yours. Good luck.

Default willing to take risks

thank you for responding. I do not have an employmee contract and ive read through my company policy, there is nothing mentioned about the privacy of any of the information we record. Im not concerned if my company loses its contracts. If i go ahead and sell this information i will be planning on retiring from this line of work. Could you please explain why it matters if the test results belong to the contract company exclusively. Also do you think it is possible for me to have a contract written up between me and the company i would be selling this information to, stating that if by some reason i am sued for selling them this information, they will have to take full financial responsibilities.
