Just moved to Texas
is there a time line before you can file, a friend said they told her she would have to wait six months to file in texas, she was in fl for 8 months and she had lived in Texas for over 20 years? help pls

I believe the rule is that you must file in the location where you have spent a majority of the last year. If you moved more than once then it would be the place you spent the most time over the last year.
