Five minutes before the judge finalized my divorce my ex surprised myself and my Attorney that she had filed bankruptcy. Not to delay the divorce proceedings as everything was settled I agreed to proceed and end the marriage. She was awarded a car that was financed through Bank of America with about 6 payments left. Those payments were made and the car was paid off.
However, months later when I checked my credit report, the car was listed on my credit report as a bankruptcy. I never filed bankrupcty and the car was paid off. I have the documents from B of A to verify this. Is there anything I can do to remove this from my credit report. Thanks |

You may want to try to write to the credit reporting agencies about your situation. They may request documentation that supports your statements. If the documents do not resolve the problem you may want to consult an attorney to find out other options. Maybe a letter from an attorney might clear up the situation.
