Bank of America
I want to file a lawsuit against bank of america because of their overdraft fees. They have been collecting money from me for quite some time now for overdraft fees!! Here is an example of my situation: On Monday, my account says I have $68 in it. I make 3 credit purchases of $4 each and 2 charges of $15 each. That would essentially bring my balance to $26. Well, on Tuesday, a charge comes through for a bill that the payment was supposed to have been cancelled on for $235. Well, the bank then takes that charge and sticks it in front of the charges I made previously and puts the others behind it, leaving not only the big charge in the negative, but putting the other 5 charges in the negative as well. Then they charge me 5 overdraft fees of $35 each. My complaint is the charges I made on Monday should have been covered from the money in the account and then on Tuesday, the charge that NEVER should have been made in the first place, should have been last and THEN you charge me an overdraft fee, which would have only been $35. Now I call AT&T to reverse the payment that was supposed to have been cancelled and they claim in their computer, it IS cancelled. I then call Bank of America to find out why they are putting that charge on me when it has been cancelled and they claim that it is AT&T's doing. So I call both over and over and get the run around and am then told by Bank of America that I need to file an electronic dispute against AT&T while in the meantime, that $311 that I am in the negative for now will come out of my direct deposit money and I have to wait to HEAR something to find out IF and WHEN I will get my money back. I have already filed a huge fraud dispute with Bank of America for something that happened 6 months ago and had to cover that charge and NEVER hear anything back from them!! I am sick of this and I need some help!! This happens almost EVERY payday. Yes, I may overdraw my account with one or two purchases that I already know I have to cover with the fees as well BUT I end up having to pay more because they ALWAYS stick the "highest amount" first and then hit you with the rest. That is unfair!! That is "legally" stealing money from me!!!! You aren't charging me fees by the times and dates that I am making these purchases, you are doing it based on how YOU want my charges to come through. Someone PLEASE help me!!
