What Can we do?
We hired a lawyer to assist us with an accident where my husband was blew up and injured as well as loss of $12,000 worth of property destroyed, caused by a faulty fuel line on a generater that was bought and still under warrenty from A local pawnshop. This happened back in April of 2006. We went to see him (for only the forth time since we hired him) the first part of this week and he gives us the news that the pawnshop is not offering anything and we had untill April to find a lawyer that was licenced in Texas so that we could file suet! In the contract it stated that he was going to be contacting the different big companies in reference to our case. He told us that he only contacted the pawnshop's insurance adjuster because he "Knew for sure that since they sold us the generater, that they would be liable, and if we drug the other two companies(which are much bigger corporations) into the case then we would have to pay the exspensive fees of experts or investigaters. He has made no effort what so ever to give us the help and service that he had promised, and on top of that he has strung this situation out to the point where I am afraid that the statue is going to run out before we have time to find another lawyer that will do for us what should have been done in the beginng. We have had our lives turned upside down because of this accident, and now he is making things worse! What can we Do?
