possible wrongful death question about lawsuit

My father was involved in a fatal accident where the woman driving did not have a drivers licence my family and I received a letter stating that she was found at fault of course and that she would be paying restitution and was on probation now. So my question is would we be able to file any other charges against her and even a possible lawsuit against the auto insurance, the register owner was in the vehicle as well and did have insurance... I hope this was enough information and all answers/information is much appreciated in advance thank you these are tough times for myself and family

I guess you can file number of charges but the verdict will depend on the number of things like evidence, involvement of other people and their faults.

Sorry for your loss. Yes, you need to speak with an attorney regarding this situation. There may be other remedies for you.

Wrongful Death Suit

Yes, you can bring a wrongful death lawsuit for the death. However, you must prove that you have suffered some type of actual loss because the death in order to recover anything. Such a lawsuit seeks compensation for the survivors' loss, such as lost wages from the deceased, lost companionship, and funeral expenses, etc.

Claim for this type of claim you would have to prove that the medical official failed to take reasonable care of the patients or acted in a way that fell below the standard of care. Usually for medical claims you would need to prove that the doctors conduct was something an ordinary doctor within that field would not have done. Failed procedures and inneffective procedures are hard to prove since it would be difficult to determine what the outcome would have been if the doctor conducted other procedures.
