Exclamation I think I got food poisoning.

So I'm just starting this new year with really bad luck. I'm not really sure yet, but I think I have food poisoning. Earlier today I went to a Popeyes restaurant and ordered some chicken. I started eating my food and I noticed a piece of chicken was not fully cooked after taking some bites of it. I was poking it around to see if it was just redness from the bone but I could see that it wasn't. I took pictures of the chicken and a small video clip for proof plus I saved my receipt. Anyway, I told the cashier it wasn't fully cooked and I showed it to him. He offered me more chicken, but I was disgusted by it and told him I was good. So now I'm home and I'm starting to get nausea and cramps. I took some pepto bismol to see if that helps. Can I file a suit about this though?

You can file a lawsuit for any reason, but that doesn't mean you will win and you will have to pay court filing costs.

If you get truly sick then maybe consider a big suit, but if your just sick for a few days your damages will be insufficient to do much more than seek relief in a small claims case. However, only do that after reaching out to management and seeing what they say.

Here is an article explaining small claims for your assistance. http://www.legalmatch.com/law-librar...ms-courts.html
