I just wanted to post a follow-up to my post from a while back. I went several times to immigration in person and asked about the issue, but always received answers instructing me to wait some more. One time I was even told to "wait because it has not been a year since the interview." You can imagine the frustration.

To remedy this I went to the US House Representative of my district and asked for help. It seems (at least in NY) all Congress members have someone to help constituents navigate federal agencies especially in cases of undue lateness. One letter by my Rep was followed by a rather apologetic answer from the immigration supervisor, and two months later I was a proud US citizen.

I want to thank you for helping me a while back when I needed it. Maybe my story can be of help to others.
