Record cleared through the employer (what does that mean??) and NOT have to register----you mean not register as a s3x offender?? Who told you this??

Participation in the s3xual offenders resistry is not conditional on good behavior. I don't know who told you otherwise, but that is incorrect.

I am afraid that as an employer, I wouldn't want to hire someone who was a registered s3x offender, either, regardless of how long it's been since they 'did anything wrong'. Hiring a convicted s3x offender, regardless of how long it may have been could open an employer up to liability for obvious reasons.

I don't know where you got that bit of information, but it is my personal opinion you cannot choose to NOT register as a s3xual offender if, in fact, you have been required to do so in the past.

If I am misunderstanding your posting, please clarify.
