I live in Maryland and am trying to get information on an adult adoption. I'm 25 and want to be legally adopted by my stepfather of 18 years. But no one can seem to give me any information on even who I should even talk to within the county departments. Has anyone else been through this process? Can you offer advice and information on who to speak to in order to get information about the process? The people I talked to in the county family services didn't even know what I was talking about!
