Default Universal Data Form (pay for delete)

I am in California and contacted a collection agency regarding an $800.00 debt, I was making arrangements to pay the debt and asked if they could submit a Universal Data Form (UDA) to the credit agencies when the debt is satisfied. The supervisor told me that they send updates (tapes) to the credit agencies once a quarter, they don’t send UDAs.

Should I accept what he said, focus on paying off the debt and try my luck with another collection agency to see if they will send a UDA for debt once i pay or settle?

Please give me any input. I already did a search and still need some help.
Or if anyone can offer verbiage or strategy for pay for deletes would also help.
